Senior .NET Contractor 2 Month Contract | Outside IR35 | ASAP Start | Flexible Working We’re looking for a Senior .NET / Azure Technical Consultant to step into a complex enterprise environment and help bring greater clarity, stability, and operational maturity across a suite of business-critical platforms. This is an established client engagement supporting a number of interconnected internal and customer-facing applications built across .NET Framework, Azure, Vue.js/Nuxt and Drupal. The platforms are already live and heavily used, with multiple integrations and years of business logic behind them. The role is less about greenfield development and more about understanding existing systems, improving technical visibility, and helping create a stronger long-term support model around the platforms. You’ll work closely with both the client and internal teams, acting as a senior technical lead across architecture, support readiness, documentation, and platform improvement. What you’ll be doing: Reviewing existing applications, infrastructure, integrations, and support processes Producing technical documentation, architecture overviews, and support runbooks Identifying technical risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities Supporting knowledge transfer into the wider engineering and support teams Acting as a senior technical contact across client and internal discussions Providing hands-on technical guidance and support where needed What we’re looking for: Strong experience within the .NET Framework ecosystem Proven Azure experience Experience in client-facing technical or consultancy roles Architecture or technical leadership experience Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to work independently and create structure within complex or undocumented environments Nice to have: AWS exposure Drupal experience Nexus Repository or similar tooling Experience in support, transition, or technical discovery engagements This role would suit someone who enjoys stepping into mature environments, quickly understanding how systems fit together, and helping teams create clarity where ownership, documentation, or processes may have evolved over time.
