Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities as a Remote Pharmacy Technician - Data Entry Specialist will include: Accurate Prescription Data Entry: Efficiently and precisely input prescription orders, patient information, medication details, and pharmacy documentation into our advanced database systems. You will be responsible for ensuring all data is entered correctly the first time, minimizing the need for corrections and rework. Comprehensive Data Verification: Perform thorough verification checks to ensure the completeness, accuracy, and correctness of all entries. This includes cross-referencing prescription details, validating patient information, and confirming medication dosages and instructions. Discrepancy Resolution: Collaborate closely with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other healthcare staff to identify and resolve any discrepancies, inconsistencies, or issues that arise during the data entry process. Your problem-solving skills will be essential in maintaining data integrity. HIPAA Compliance and Confidentiality: Maintain absolute confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times. You will handle sensitive patient health information (PHI) with the utmost discretion and ensure all data handling practices comply with federal and state privacy laws. Inventory Management Support: Assist with inventory management tasks, including tracking medication stock levels, processing procurement requests, and maintaining accurate inventory records. Your contributions will help ensure our pharmacy operations run smoothly and efficiently. Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance initiatives, including regular audits of data entry work, identification of error patterns, and implementation of process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency. System Navigation: Utilize our proprietary pharmacy software systems and electronic health record (EHR) platforms to manage prescription data, patient profiles, and pharmacy operations effectively.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements: Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. A Pharmacy Technician certification or associate degree in a related healthcare field is strongly preferred and will be given significant consideration. Experience: Proven experience in data entry or administrative roles, preferably within a healthcare, pharmacy, or medical setting.
