Remote Video Editor (Paid Ads) | U.S. DTC Marketing Agency
About the position A U.S.-based growth marketing agency is looking for a Video Editor who lives and breathes UGC-style paid social content. You’ll be editing videos that look native to TikTok, Instagram, Meta, and YouTube—but are strategically built to convert. This is a remote, full-time opportunity with flexible hours and async collaboration, perfect for someone based in Latin America who’s excited to edit thumb-stopping content for DTC brands across fashion, beauty, wellness, and more. You'll work closely with a small, fast-moving team—including the founder—to turn raw footage into high-performing ads that don’t feel like ads.
Responsibilities
- Transform concepts and footage into polished, effective videos that help brands grow.
- Edit short-form video ads optimized for performance across TikTok, Instagram Reels, Meta, and YouTube Shorts
- Turn UGC clips, voiceovers, testimonials, and product footage into scroll-stopping creatives
- Add motion graphics, captions, titles, and branded elements that feel native to each platform
- Apply fast-paced cuts, strong hooks, transitions, music, and sound design to boost watch time and CTR
- Collaborate with strategists and designers to align content with campaign goals and audience insights
- Stay ahead of platform trends, ad formats, and viral content styles
- Manage quick turnarounds, revisions, and asset delivery with strong attention to detail
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience editing video for DTC brands, performance marketing, or agencies
- A strong reel/portfolio of paid ad creatives, especially UGC-style content for TikTok, Meta, and YouTube
- Skilled in Adobe Premiere Pro
- Deep understanding of storytelling, pacing, hooks, and platform-native editing
- Ability to edit for performance, not just aesthetics—cutting based on what drives results
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Comfortable working remotely and managing multiple projects independently
- Based in Latin America (required)
Nice-to-haves
- Bonus if you know After Effects or motion graphics
- Past experience with eCommerce / DTC brands
- Familiarity with ad creative testing and creative strategy
- Experience working with founders or small teams
- Comfortable reviewing creative performance and iterating on feedback
