As a Customer Development Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in driving alignment and simplification across all three tiers of the distribution process. Your primary objective will be to leverage your analytical skills and industry expertise to support our retail customers and identify growth opportunities.

About the Position

As a Customer Development Manager at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for creating and delivering actionable insights and recommendations based on a variety of data sources. Your deep understanding of insights and analytics will enable you to drive alignment and simplification across all three tiers of the distribution process. You'll analyze and report on category performance metrics, including sales, profits, margins, and market share, to identify trends and drive improvements. Regular business reviews will be a key component of your responsibilities, where you'll develop, communicate, and monitor performance metrics relevant to each business, ensuring that suppliers are engaged in continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Create and deliver insights and recommendations using various data sources, including Point of Sale (POS) data, syndicated data from sources like Nielsen and IRI, and account-specific databases.
  • Monitor the field execution of vendor programs and ensure that our vendor programs are executed effectively in the field.
  • Stay informed of analytic best practices across the industry and apply this knowledge to drive alignment and simplification across all three tiers of the distribution process.
  • Analyze and report data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions, and develop recommendations to address these findings.
  • Track category performance, including sales, profits, margins, and market share, and develop, communicate, execute, and monitor performance metrics and goals.
  • Create and deliver effective reports using POS data and syndicated data, and analyze supply chain to evaluate and recommend supplier performance.
  • Understand and apply customer, consumer, and industry insights using market research data, and ensure superior client satisfaction through deep analytics and team problem-solving.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree and experience within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sector, with a preference for the Adult Beverage industry.
  • A deep understanding of National Chain Sales, Retail, and Distributor operations, as well as expertise in category management principles and shopper/consumer insights.
  • A high-level understanding of Category Management processes and practices, and assertive leadership and decision-making skills with high energy.
  • Preferred experience with Syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI) and Internal Shipment Data, as well as a strong foundation in business fundamentals and business finance.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and quantitative analysis skills, with intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Experience in the Adult Beverage industry, as well as familiarity with market research methodologies.
