Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Data Entry Technician to join our team in Brockton, MA. As a Pharmacy Data Entry Technician at arenaflex, you will be responsible for accurately processing prescriptions, managing electronic and faxed prescriptions, and troubleshooting rejected insurance claims. You will also provide exceptional customer service to our patients and nursing staff, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately process electronic and faxed prescriptions via arenaflex's pharmacy software - Answer phone calls and troubleshoot with nursing staff in a professional and courteous manner - Adjudicate and troubleshoot rejected insurance claims, ensuring timely resolution and minimal delays - Communicate effectively with the fill floor to process orders in a timely manner - Accurately process prescriptions, calculate proper day supplies and quantities, and maintain accurate records - Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner - Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure seamless operations and efficient workflow - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, adhering to HIPAA laws and regulations - Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
Essential Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent - Valid Illinois Pharmacy Technician License (or equivalent) and in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy - 2+ years' experience as a pharmacy technician (in any capacity, including retail, LTC, or hospital) - Basic math skills and ability to accurately calculate prescriptions and quantities - Excellent communication and problem-solving skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities - Reliable transportation and ability to work flexible hours, including holidays and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification - Long Term Care (LTC) experience, particularly in billing and adjudication - Familiarity with Medical Terminology and Mass Pharmacy Law - Experience with pharmacy software and electronic health records (EHRs) - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to troubleshoot complex issues
