Key Responsibilities

As a Data Scientist (L5) - Customer Service at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:

  • Leading the evolution of CS metrics: Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop statistically rigorous measurement techniques to inform business decisions.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving: Think critically about business problems and deploy the appropriate measurement technique to drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaboration and partnership: Partner with executives, product managers, data engineers, analytics engineers, and finance to further a statistically rigorous, data-driven decision-making culture in CS.
  • Experimentation and research: Identify opportunity areas for experimentation and research to drive business growth and improvement.
  • Metric expansion: Expand the use of CS metrics across arenaflex, where they hold insights for product, engineering, and data science.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Advanced degree: An advanced degree in statistics, mathematics, physics, economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Strong statistical knowledge and intuition: A strong understanding of statistical concepts and the ability to apply them to real-world problems.
  • Applied experience: Experience developing business-centric metrics frameworks and applying statistical techniques to drive business decisions.
  • Programming skills: Strong SQL skills and programming experience (Python preferred).
  • Communication skills: The ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and convey clear recommendations to a variety of audiences (engineering, product, senior leadership).

Preferred Qualifications

While prior experience in customer service is not required, a desire to learn and become an expert is a must. Additionally, experience with a wide range of measurement and prediction techniques (correlation analysis, observational causal inference, forecasting, quasi experimentation) is highly desirable.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

As a Data Scientist (L5) - Customer Service at arenaflex, you'll receive:

  • Annual salary: A competitive annual salary, with a range of $170,000 - $720,000.
  • Stock options: The opportunity to purchase stock options, with a vesting schedule that aligns with your performance and contributions.
