Job Summary

We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Data Science Analyst to join our Hunt and Suggestions Examination team. As a Senior Data Science Analyst, you'll work closely with a high-performing team of experts, AI engineers, and product managers to develop and implement data-driven solutions that drive business outcomes. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Designing, running, and analyzing the results of A/B tests for new recommendation algorithms and systems
• Developing and implementing new testing and testing analysis procedures
• Conducting exploratory data analysis to identify novel insights and opportunities
• Building and maintaining in-house automated tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven solutions
• Communicating key findings and recommendations to senior leaders across the organization

Responsibilities

* Run unconditional exploratory data analysis to identify novel insights and opportunities

• Plan and run A/B tests of our latest recommendation algorithms
• Proactively monitor our suggestion models to identify potential issues, determine root causes, and resolve
• Build new tools that enable us to be more efficient and effective
• Work closely with product, design, and AI partners to develop and implement data-driven solutions
• Communicate key findings and recommendations to senior leaders across the organization

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., computer science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or finance)

• Experience in data science or a related field, preferably with e-commerce companies
• In-depth knowledge of SQL (including query optimization, stored procedures, string parsing, and Vertica/Hive/Voila/Flask)
• In-depth knowledge of Python and Python libraries (including Jupyter notebooks, pandas, scikit-learn, and matplotlib)
• Experience with experimental design (A/B tests) and statistical analysis to drive business decisions
• Familiarity with AI algorithms and strategies (including decision trees, random forests, and deep learning) in a business setting
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative attitude
• Ability to work collaboratively and proactively with partners
• Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results in a fast-paced environment
• Strong business acumen, scientific skills, and technical abilities, along with critical thinking skills
