Solutions Engineer

We're seeking a Solution Engineer who thrives at the intersection of application security and modern software development — including AI-assisted coding. You'll partner with Account Executives to win strategic deals, deliver compelling technical narratives, and help customers understand their risk posture in an era where developers ship faster than ever and AI-generated code introduces new security challenges
Requirements
What you'll bring: 1-2+ years supporting SaaS sales teams in a technical presales or solution engineering capacity Hands-on familiarity with multiple programming or scripting languages Working knowledge of the SDLC, with emphasis on DevSecOps and shift-left security practices Demonstrable understanding of modern AppSec disciplines: SAST, SCA, DAST, secrets, API security, and AI/LLM code risk Awareness of how AI coding tools (Copilot, Cursor, etc.) are changing the developer workflow and the security implications Ability to deliver tailored demos and executing proof-of-values to both technical practitioners and executive stakeholders Strong communication skills — you make complex security concepts accessible Comfort operating in fast-paced, high-growth sales environments Genuine curiosity of how technology trends are transforming the world of AppSec and Development What we have to offer Competitive salary Medical, dental, vision, 401(K), and additional incentives Culture of community and opportunity to work in a growing organization Room for career growth and professional development Training and educational opportunities Checkmarx is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
