START DATE: July 2026 ABOUT LEADING EDGE Leading Edge strengthens the Jewish nonprofit field to help it better serve both the Jewish community and the broader world. We envision a thriving Jewish communal ecosystem where talented and engaged people are empowered to drive meaningful change. By mobilizing Jewish nonprofits to become organizations where great people deliver great impact, Leading Edge helps build a more vibrant, effective, and inspiring Jewish sector. WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Leading Edge is working to embed a set of standards of excellence for Talent & Culture across the Jewish nonprofit sector. These standards will help organizations become healthier, stronger workplaces where people can thrive. A critical standard is fostering a culture of Constructive Dialogue: the ability to engage across differences productively, respectfully, and with integrity. In a polarized and complex environment, this capability is essential for effective leadership and strong organizational cultures in the field. To advance this work, Leading Edge will focus on two critical priorities: 1) partner with the Constructive Dialogue Institute (CDI) to bring a structured learning series program to the field and scale participation to individual organizations and Leading Edge program participants, helping constructive dialogue become a core capability across Jewish nonprofit life and 2) Shape a field-facing strategy for this capability: Help define how constructive dialogue and working across lines up difference (across all dimensions, including differences in viewpoints) shows up as a core component of Leading Edge’s talent and culture standards, and how we support organizations at different entry points to build this skill over time. This role supports an expanding area of work for Leading Edge. While currently structured as a part-time position, we expect the scope and nature of the work to continue evolving over time as we learn, grow, and assess organizational needs and opportunities. Translate training into applied practice: Identify opportunities to extend CDI learning into practical tools, resources, and experiences that help individuals and organizations build and sustain constructive dialogue as an ongoing capability—not just a discrete training. Develop and test new pathways for skill-building: Determine and pilot additional ways to grow constructive dialogue skills across the field, including (but not limited to) membership-based learning, conference sessions, community of practice experiences, and lightweight, scalable offerings. Shape a field-facing strategy for this capability: Help define how constructive dialogue shows up as a core component of Leading Edge’s talent and culture standards, and how we support organizations at different entry points to build this skill over time.
