Strategic Communications and Campaigns Associate - Poland Application Deadline: 28 May 2026 Department: Country Desks Employment Type: Full Time Location: Poland Description This position is with the Global Strategic Communications Council (GSCC), a global network of communications professionals in the field of climate, energy and nature. GSCC is a programme hosted by the Meliore Foundation. We're looking for an innovative and experienced Poland Desk Associate, Strategic Communications and Campaigns. The right candidate will have a unique combination of skills and want to play a major role in tackling climate change and galvanising action, helping to speed up the energy transition in Poland, Europe, and beyond. Overall we are a 25 person Europe wide team of campaigners, media and digital experts who use strategic communications to get climate action to the top of the political agenda. GSCC team members devise and deliver campaigns, and give strategic advice, communications and outreach support to partners. We work as part of a global network of communications experts to enhance the public debate on climate change and its solutions on a broader level. The work will involve designing and implementing digital campaigns and maintaining trusted relationships with key journalists and stakeholders in Poland. Reporting to the Poland Desk - Lead, this role will contribute to the development of Poland strategy and to the implementation of specific campaigns in line with the overarching Europe strategy, and to maintaining and building our network of partners to increase political and media attention to our key issues. How you'll contribute Operationalising communication strategies with a wide range of communications material and actions (digital products, press briefings, social media content, communication support during events...); Contribute to digital campaigns in collaboration with colleagues and partners Maintain trusted relationships with key journalists and influencers in Poland to deliver impact. Contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality communications materials (such as press releases, quotes, social media content, digital products). Content creation for selected partners, voices and digital channels in coordination to deliver organic reach. Build and maintain relationships with key partners in Poland, ranging from NGOs and academics to businesses, and offer strategic advice that supports campaign objectives. Work with our spokesperson network, with a particular focus on supporting our spokesperson network to build digital profiles. Pitch stories to digital media that drive climate action, using timely, targeted messaging tailored to resonate with online audiences, with support from the Poland Desk Lead. Closely follow the political and media debates in Poland to identify opportunities for engagement and acting as a source of intelligence for colleagues and partners. Any other duties to be assigned from time to time. Our ideal candidate has To succeed in this role, you will have the below qualities: Extensive experience in a digital media campaigning role, with deep knowledge of the challenges and opportunities in climate campaigns. Ability to assess impact of digital campaigns by analysing metrics Ability to craft and pitch compelling, media-worthy stories that cut through noise and resonate with Polish audiences Strong networking abilities to build and maintain relationships with key partners in the climate space. Project management skills to transform ideas into campaigns and communication outputs and manage their delivery, collaborating with various colleagues and experts. The ability to monitor political debates across a range of climate and energy related issues, through media tracking and intel gathering. Solid understanding of campaign communications, with the ability to craft compelling media stories and advise partners on communication strategies. A self-starting attitude, capable of working independently to establish relationships and initiate projects. Time management skills and ability to respond swiftly to trends and world events Residency in Poland and fluency in Polish. Fluency in written and spoken English, our working language.
