Senior IoT Engineer
Ciklum is looking for a Senior IoT Engineer to join our team full-time in Ukraine. About the role: As a Senior IoT Engineer a, you will become part of a cross-functional development team working with innovative technologies and contributing to the creation of a world-changing product. You will join a US-based startup focused on developing advanced brain-computer interface (BCI) technology to help people with severe disabilities. The company operates at the intersection of neuroscience and engineering, building cutting-edge solutions aimed at significantly improving quality of life. Responsibilities: Design and implement hardware and software for embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment without supervision Design, develop, code, test, and debug system software Interface with hardware design and development Analyze and enhance the efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources Integrate and validate new product designs Support software QA and optimise I/O performance Provide post-production support Assess third-party and open-source software Applying state-of-the-art embedded systems design to solve business problems Performing research and developing proof-of-concept prototyp Requirements: Ability to think in an analytic and structured way S/MS degree in Computer Science or Engineering Proven working 5+ years of experience in hardware and software engineering Solid programming experience 3+ years in C/C++ Experience with nRF Connect SDK, Cortex M (M0/M3/M4/M7/M33/M55), networking (Ethernet, WiFi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, etc.), MCU peripherals (UART, SPI, I2C, ADC, DAC, timers, etc.) Proven experience in embedded systems design with hard real-time implementation and RTOS (e.g. FreeRTOS, Zephyr RTOS) Hands-on experience in bringing up and troubleshooting on embedded targets Familiarity with software configuration management tools, bug tracking tools, and peer review Experience with GCC, VS Code, IAR ARM Workbench, Eclipse Python for test scripts, automation, and development tools Understanding of Git workflow and hands-on experience Strong English language communication and technical writing skills Ability to document properly systems functionality, code, and methodology Good presentational and visualization skills. Ability to describe and present results clearly, answer questions, and communicate issues Desirable: Experience with Linux, experience with low-level OS/platform, understanding of Linux internals DSP expertise and strong theoretical background Proficiency in CI/CD development and deploying containers (e.g. Docker) Experience with HIL testing Experience with IoT platforms/frameworks What`s in it for you?
