Associate General Counsel
Fluke Health Solutions (FHS) is seeking a highly capable, business-oriented Associate General Counsel to partner closely with leadership and operate as a trusted advisor across the company. This role goes beyond traditional legal support—it is about enabling growth, navigating regulatory complexity, and actively shaping outcomes alongside the business. The Associate General Counsel will work across commercial, regulatory, employment, and operational matters, helping FHS scale responsibly in a highly regulated healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Business Partnership Act as a hands-on legal partner to business leaders, providing practical, actionable advice that enables growth while managing risk Participate directly in key business decisions—demonstrating ownership, accountability, and a willingness to “put skin in the game” Translate complex legal and regulatory requirements into clear business guidance Regulatory & Compliance Advise on U.S. regulatory matters impacting FHS, including medical device and healthcare regulations Partner with Regulatory, Quality, and Compliance teams to support adherence to FDA and related regulatory frameworks Support regulatory strategy, investigations, audits, and internal compliance initiatives Employment & HR Partnership Provide expert guidance on U.S. employment law, partnering closely with HR on employee relations, investigations, and policy development Support executive leadership and HR on sensitive matters including terminations, disputes, and risk mitigation Commercial & Corporate Legal Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements (customers, suppliers, partners) Provide legal support on strategic transactions, partnerships, and go-to-market initiatives Contribute to corporate governance, contract management, and risk frameworks Disputes & Risk Management Manage and mitigate legal risk across the business Support litigation strategy and oversee outside counsel where applicable (Nice to have) Prior experience as a U.S. litigator or managing litigation matters What We’re Looking For Experience Juris Doctor (JD) and active U.S. bar membership Significant legal experience (law firm and/or in-house), with strong U.S.-based practice depth Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or regulated industries strongly preferred Exposure to FDA or similar regulatory environments Bonus: prior experience as a U.S. litigator Capabilities & Mindset Business-oriented operator: Focused on outcomes, not just legal analysis Ownership mentality: Willing to step in, take accountability, and drive results alongside the business Cultural fit: Collaborative, low-ego, team-first approach Comfortable in a fast-moving, performance-driven environment High integrity with a strong sense of accountability Strong U.S. legal expertise, with the ability to anchor decision-making in U.S. frameworks (complementing prior international exposure) Regulatory fluency: Able to navigate ambiguity and evolving regulatory landscapes Forward-Looking Skills Interest in and willingness to actively experiment with AI and emerging technologies to improve legal efficiency, risk management, and business enablement Curiosity-driven mindset with a bias for continuous improvement Why Join Fluke Health Solutions Operate at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and innovation in a highly regulated space Partner directly with senior leadership and influence critical business decisions Be part of a performance-driven culture focused on continuous improvement (Fortive Business System) Opportunity to shape how legal enables growth—bringing both rigor and pragmatism to the business Success Profile (What “Great” Looks Like) Seen as a trusted business advisor, not just legal support Anticipates issues early and drives pragmatic solutions Balances speed with sound judgment in a complex regulatory environment Builds strong cross-functional relationships (especially with RA/QA and HR) Embraces new tools (including AI) to modernize legal workflows and increase impact #LI-CS23 Fortive Corporation Overview Fortive’s essential technology makes the world stronger, safer, and smarter.
