Senior SQL / ETL Engineer (Contract)

The Role: We are seeking a Senior SQL / ETL Engineer to support data migration, transformation, and database operations initiatives for one of our clients. This role will focus heavily on SQL development, ETL-related workflows, data loading, stored procedures, and large-scale data cleanup and manipulation efforts. The ideal candidate is highly hands-on with SQL and comfortable working directly with engineering and business teams to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and performance across multiple systems. Key Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database scripts Load, transform, and validate large datasets within SQL Server environments Support ETL-related workflows, including data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and migration activities Perform data cleanup and manipulation tasks to improve overall data quality and consistency Troubleshoot SQL performance issues and optimize complex queries Collaborate with engineering and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver accurate solutions Assist with ongoing database maintenance and operational support activities Ensure data integrity, validation, and reconciliation across systems Create and maintain technical documentation related to database and ETL processes Required Qualifications: Strong hands-on SQL development experience Experience working with SQL Server environments Advanced SQL query writing and optimization experience Experience developing and maintaining stored procedures Experience with ETL processes and data migration activities Strong experience with data manipulation, cleanup, and transformation Experience loading and validating data within relational database environments Ability to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues independently Strong attention to detail and data accuracy Excellent communication and collaboration skills Nice to Have: Experience with ETL tools or automated data pipelines Experience supporting enterprise data migration initiatives Experience working within consulting or client-facing environments Exposure to reporting or BI tools Employment Type: Contract Remote within Mexico Tech Holding is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
