We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented R&D Specialist to join our growing product development team. Bits of your job: Develop new formulations for food supplements, pet products, and cosmetic applications (powders, capsules, liquids, topicals and other forms). Conduct ingredient research and feasibility assessments to ensure formula efficacy and compliance. Perform cost calculations for new and existing formulations, ensuring cost-effectiveness and accurate pricing structure. Prepare and maintain R&D documentation, including formulation sheets, material specifications and SOPs. Review and update technical documentation to ensure consistency and alignment with manufacturing and quality requirements. Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to evaluate raw materials and optimize production processes. Stay informed about emerging ingredient trends, technologies (including encapsulation), and market developments. Support cross-functional teams (QA, Regulatory, and Production) with technical input. Key expectations: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life science such as Food Science, Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology, or a related natural science field. Experience in formulation development for supplements, pet nutrition, or cosmetics. Strong understanding of functional ingredients, dosage forms, and manufacturing processes. Basic knowledge of encapsulation or powder technology is highly beneficial. Competence in documentation control and version management. Analytical mindset with proficiency in costing and pricing calculations. Excellent written communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and effectively within a remote, cross-functional team. Good written and verbal communication skills in English. Salary: 1,400-2,600 €/mon. net Keep in mind that we are open to discussing a different salary based on your skills and competencies.
