Python Backend Engineer

As part of the BUILD team, you'll be contributing to a key MCP (Model Context Protocol) project, (brief description of the project — to be completed), working closely with the Product team on a daily basis, as well as with our data engineers and data scientists. Vos missions Build and maintain backend services and APIs in Python as part of our MCP project. Design, build and enhance our platform across multiple projects (APIs, internal tools, data pipelines). Collaborate closely with the Product team to understand requirements, propose solutions, and iterate on feedback. Optimize existing application code to improve performance and maintainability. Share best development practices and contribute to technical documentation. Take the initiative to improve our architecture, design, and development workflows. Vos compétences Core Skills AI-Assisted Development Proficiency with Claude Code for AI-assisted development: code generation, refactoring, debugging, and codebase exploration. Ability to craft effective prompts and leverage AI tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining code quality. Backend (Python) Design, development, and maintenance of Python applications and RESTful APIs (FastAPI, Django, Flask). Strong focus on clean architecture, scalable patterns, performance, and best practices: testing, code reviews, continuous integration, and technical documentation. Ruby on Rails: familiarity or prior experience is a strong plus. Data & Storage Strong SQL skills with ability to write complex analytical queries. Familiarity with Snowflake is a plus but not required. Experience with environments mixing SQL (MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB), and performance/caching tooling such as Redis and Elasticache. Quality & Delivery Strong engineering discipline: automation and tooling with GitHub, CI/CD (GitHub Actions), testing, linting, and structured review processes. Experience working with cloud and scalable environments.
