Salesforce Quality Engineer

Role Overview As a Salesforce Quality Engineer at J4RVIS, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality Salesforce solutions across our project portfolio. You’ll work closely with developers, consultants, and project managers to validate functionality, identify issues early, and contribute to a smooth, consistent user experience. This role is hands-on and suited to someone who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments and is passionate about continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning & Strategy Design and implement test plans based on project requirements and solution designs Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and technical scope Identify high-impact test cases and prioritise coverage across functional and non-functional requirements Test Execution & Documentation Execute manual and/or automated tests across multiple Salesforce clouds and integrations Conduct functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing throughout the project lifecycle Log, document, and track test results and defects in systems such as Jira Defect Management & Issue Resolution Own the QA defect lifecycle: raising, triaging, and following up on defects Collaborate with developers to isolate problems, perform root cause analysis, and validate fixes Contribute to knowledge sharing to avoid recurring issues and improve solution quality over time Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve QA processes, tools, and testing approaches Stay current on Salesforce platform changes, features, and ecosystem tools Support adoption of automation and testing efficiencies where appropriate Team Collaboration & Communication Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives Provide clear testing updates and risks to project managers and stakeholders Align with other QA team members (where applicable) to ensure testing consistency across projects Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline—or equivalent experience Experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering role, ideally within software or cloud-based platforms Salesforce testing experience and knowledge of the Salesforce platform is highly beneficial Proficient in QA best practices including test planning, execution, defect tracking, and reporting Experience using tools such as Jira, TestRail, Postman, or Selenium Strong understanding of Agile delivery methods and working in a sprint-based cadence Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and communication abilities Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote-first environment At J4RVIS, everyone has a purpose and everyone has a role no matter how big or small the role is.
