Overview
Our client is seeking a Contract Analyst to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for the paper verification and booking of contracts, ensuring all contract details accurately match internal data systems. You will play a vital role in maintaining data integrity by reviewing customer names, pricing, and terms, while collaborating across departments to resolve any discrepancies. This position requires managing a steady daily workflow to support the team's operational goals within the retail energy sector.
Responsibilities
- Perform verification of paper and PDF contracts to ensure customer names, pricing, and terms align perfectly with internal systems.
- Book verified contracts into the internal system, processing a target volume of 30 to 40 contracts per day.
- Analyze contract data and audit documentation to identify potential discrepancies.
- Collaborate and communicate efficiently with internal teams to flag, investigate, and resolve contract mismatches.
- Utilize internal contract import systems and tools to manage and track workflow progression.
Required Skills & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in an analyst, billing, payment operations, or customer care role.
- Prior experience working within the energy industry, specifically retail energy or power markets.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data verification and tracking.
- Exceptional attention to detail and sharp analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to collaborate across various departments.
- Home office space with limited distractions (including office equipment – monitors (at least 2), keyboard, mouse, headset, webcam)
- Experienced with CRM systems, Microsoft Office programs like Excel/Word, SQL (preferred but not required)
- Strong written/verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with teammates and autonomously.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Intermediate or advanced analysis/critical thinking skills.
- Experience with issue resolution.
- Strong time management/prioritization skills.
- Adaptable to processes or systems changes.
- Able to provide positive service experience to internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or associate degree.
- Experience utilizing Salesforce for data management or tracking.
- Openness to considering motivated recent college graduates with relevant coursework or a demonstrated interest in the energy industry.
- Experience in EDI, Accounting, Payment Reconciliation
