Key Responsibilities
As a Part-time Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, your key responsibilities will include:
- Verifying and logging receipt of data
- Transcribing source data into the required electronic format
- Transferring information from paper formats into computer files using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners
- Performing high-volume data entry using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or other computer software
- Verifying integrity of data by comparing it to source documents
- Reviews data for errors, missing pages, or missing information and resolves any discrepancies
- Maintains a filing system and protects confidential customer information
- Performs regular backups to ensure data preservation
- Responds to requests to retrieve data from the database or electronic filing system
- Uses basic office equipment (photocopy machine, facsimile machine, etc.)
- Maintains a satisfactory level of quality and productivity per department standards
- Completes additional assigned tasks as required
- Prepares, compiles, and sorts documents for data entry
Requirements
To be successful as a Part-time Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you'll need:
- Proven data entry work experience, as a Data Entry Operator or Office Clerk
- Experience with MS Office and data programs
- Familiarity with administrative duties
- Experience using office equipment, like fax machine and scanner
- Typing speed and accuracy
- Excellent knowledge of correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation
- Attention to detail
- Confidentiality
- Organization skills, with an ability to stay focused on assigned tasks
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:
- Previous experience as a Data Entry Specialist or similar position
