Responsibilities

As a Daytime Call Taker (Customer Service Representative) at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:

  • Answering, screening, and directing calls for the entire company in a timely and efficient manner
  • Distinguishing the need for emergency transportation and pre-arranging transport for facilities while determining the level of care needed for patients
  • Arranging specialty and critical care transportation as needed
  • Providing information and assistance for customer service inquiries, resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner
  • Communicating effectively with multiple departments and EMS personnel to ensure seamless coordination of patient care
  • Providing supportive information to customers to assist them in arranging appropriate transport
  • Developing effective solutions for customer service issues and escalating concerns to management as needed
  • Directing calls to the Flight desk as appropriate
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A pleasant, professional phone manner with excellent communication skills
  • A detail-oriented approach to work, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
  • Typing skills of 30 wpm or better, with the ability to navigate our electronic medical records system
  • The ability to excel in a high-stress environment, remaining calm and composed under pressure
  • Adaptability and flexibility, with the ability to learn and apply new policies and procedures as needed
  • A medical background is a plus, but not required; EMD certification will be required within 1 year of employment
  • A strong commitment to customer service, with a passion for delivering exceptional care and support to our patients and families
