About the Licensing Division

The Licensing Division is a critical component of arenaflex, responsible for licensing over 45,000 businesses in more than 40 industries. Our team works tirelessly to ensure that businesses operate in compliance with key consumer protection, licensing, and workplace laws. We strive to create a culture of compliance and provide the tools and resources needed to support businesses in their growth and development.

Job Summary

As a Senior Customer Service Representative, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service to licensing applicants, providing coaching and guidance to other staff members, and assisting with outreach to other city agencies. You will be responsible for:

  • Performing ordinary mathematical computations while accepting and processing payments
  • Under supervision, performing clerical work including complex data processing functions, recording, researching, checking, and maintaining records
  • Reviewing confidential reports and client background information to determine eligibility to obtain licenses
  • Checking records for accuracy of information and conformity with established policy and procedures
  • Preparing and monitoring reports
  • Monitoring and providing coaching to other staff
  • Providing high-volume customer service to licensing applicants in person and via phone
  • Assisting applicants with outreach to other city agencies, as well as interagency communication to help resolve issues pertaining to their license
  • Answering telephone calls, emails, and written correspondence and communicating applicant information
  • Attending seminars, meetings, and/or trainings
  • Following all division and agency policies and procedures

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization
  • One year of satisfactory clerical experience
  • Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute
