Key Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Pharmacy Technician at arenaflex, your key responsibilities will include:

• Order entry of electronic and faxed in prescriptions via Pharmacy software
• Answering phone calls and troubleshooting with nursing staff in a professional manner
• Adjudicating and troubleshooting rejected insurance claims
• Communicating with fill floor to process orders in a timely manner
• Accurately processing prescriptions and calculating proper day supplies and quantities
• Ability to problem solve and provide accurate information and efficient solutions

Essential Qualifications

To be successful as a Data Entry Pharmacy Technician at arenaflex, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Valid Illinois Pharmacy Technician License and in good standing with Board of Pharmacy
• 2 + years’ experience as a pharmacy technician (in any capacity i.e. retail, LTC, hospital)
• Basic math skills
• Open availability (able to work holidays and weekends)
• Must follow required HIPAA laws
• Reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following preferred qualifications will make you an even stronger candidate for this role:

• PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician
• Long Term Care experience
• Framework LTC experience
• Long Term Care billing/ adjudication experience
• Familiar with Medical Terminology
