Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Remote Customer Service Representative to join our team in Warwick, RI. As a key member of our Defined Benefits and Retirement Income Solutions Department, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our clients, resolving issues, and educating customers on our products and services. Key Responsibilities
* Provide exceptional customer service to clients via phone, email, and chat, resolving issues and answering questions related to defined benefit annuities, account maintenance, and claims processes
- Work closely with customers to understand their needs, provide solutions, and educate them on our products and services
- Process customer requests, including direct deposit changes, address changes, and other account maintenance tasks
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex issues and provide timely solutions to customers
- Meet or exceed performance metrics, including first-call resolution, customer satisfaction, and average handle time
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, industry trends, and regulatory requirements to provide accurate and informed support to customers
Requirements
* 1-2 years of call center experience, preferably in a customer service role
- 1-2 years of experience with Windows-based operating systems, including Microsoft Office and other productivity software
- Strong customer service focus, with the ability to convey complex topics to clients in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work from home, with high-speed internet and a quiet, secure workspace
- Ability to use video during interviews and training
- Availability to work Monday-Friday, with flexibility to work varying shifts based on business needs
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working in the financial services industry, particularly in defined benefits and retirement income solutions
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry trends
- Experience with CRM software and other customer service tools
- Certification in customer service or a related field
Training and Onboarding
* Training is provided on-site, with a comprehensive program that covers product knowledge, customer service skills, and technical requirements
- Nesting and quality assessment will be conducted on-site, with a focus on ensuring that you have the skills and knowledge to succeed in the role
- After successful completion of quality certification/assessment, you'll be able to work remotely
Equipment and Technology
* Laptop, docking station, 2 x monitors, keyboard, mouse, and headset will be provided
- High-speed internet and a quiet, secure workspace are required for remote work
