Experienced Billing Data Entry Specialist – Cash Application & Customer Billing

We're now seeking a skilled Billing Data Entry Specialist to join our team in Bristol, TN. As a Billing Data Entry Specialist, you'll play a vital role in our Cash Application/Customer Billing team, working closely with our local finance team, branch customer service, and sales personnel. Your primary focus will be on applying cash received to customer accounts, entering and tracking the status of inputs, and providing support for the finance team in various tasks. With experience and good performance, you'll have the opportunity to add light accounting/credit responsibilities to your role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process daily cash application for customer payments with high accuracy and speed - Submit online invoicing through customer web-based portals, ensuring timely and efficient communication - Collaborate and support branch personnel with customer credit card transactions, providing exceptional customer service - Assist credit in sending out customer account statements, maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely delivery - Provide support and backup to the accounting/finance team as directed by the Controller or Credit Manager, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability
Essential Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a data input role, such as school, medical, retail, or business - Associate's degree preferred but not required - Strong data entry skills with good speed and a high level of accuracy - Strong customer service orientation and communication skills - Ability to work collaboratively as a team with local and branch personnel - Good attention to detail and organizational abilities - Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with accounting software and systems - Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
