Experienced Data Entry Specialist – Client Services and Operations

As a Data Entry Specialist, you'll play a vital role in our Minneapolis, MN-based team, working closely with our Hearing Department, Pre-Hearing Departments, and other teams to ensure seamless operations and outstanding client experiences.

The Role
As a Data Entry Specialist, you'll be responsible for receiving, reviewing, and accurately recording SSA awards and payments in client files. You'll also liaise with customer accounts receivables, including clients, payment centers, SSA, and vendors, on collections and award-related inquiries. This is an entry-level role that will allow you to learn best practices and become familiar with effective communication practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process awards - Notate client records - Make multiple follow-up calls to processing centers - Manage your workflow and productivity in the workplace without reliance on a supervisor - Identify areas of learning needed to better manage client cases, including SSA processes, documentation, interpretation, and application use (PCMS, Microsoft Office suite, Google Suite, etc.) - Work with others in the Hearing Department, Pre-Hearing Departments, and in the organization as needed - Respond to phone calls as needed to answer questions for clients and on the client's behalf - Ensure appropriate staff are aware of all situations which may involve administrative errors - Complete special projects and other assigned tasks - Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a direct customer contact position is preferred - Customer service orientation; energetic and outgoing personality - Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate professionally, effectively, and with empathy in potentially difficult circumstances - Basic arithmetic skills; ability to perform accurate calculations and reconcile figures - Multitasking skills and a detail-oriented focus are required - Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and adjust as needed in a fast-paced environment - Ability to achieve high productivity and quality standards - Proficient working knowledge of Windows OS, Internet, and associated software - BILINGUAL - English/Spanish a plus but not required
