Responsibilities:

As a Pharmacy Customer Support Specialist (Remote-Hybrid), your key responsibilities will include:

  • Processing inbound faxes from healthcare providers regarding prescription approvals and verifications
  • Verifying prescription details, including provider information, patient data, and medication dosage, and following up for missing information
  • Accurately entering prescription requests into the system for processing and ensuring data accuracy by following structured workflows and company procedures
  • Handling inbound provider calls (approximately 20 per day) regarding prescription approvals and coverage, ensuring professional communication and resolution of inquiries
  • Collaborating with the team to resolve complex prescription-related issues and providing exceptional customer service to healthcare providers

Must-Have Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • At least 6 months of customer service experience, preferably in a call center setting, but other customer-facing roles will be considered
  • Strong verbal communication skills to interact professionally with healthcare providers and resolve complex issues
  • Excellent attention to detail for verifying prescription and patient information, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company procedures

Preferred Skills:

While not required, the following skills will be beneficial for success in this role:

  • Experience handling high-volume calls in a customer service or call center setting
  • Familiarity with medical or pharmacy terminology, enabling you to effectively communicate with healthcare providers
  • Basic proficiency with database entry and electronic records systems, allowing you to efficiently process prescription requests and verify information
