Responsibilities:

As a Pharmacy Customer Support Specialist (Remote-Hybrid), you'll be responsible for:

  • Processing inbound faxes from healthcare providers regarding prescription approvals, ensuring timely and accurate processing
  • Verifying prescription details, including provider information, patient data, and medication dosage, and following up for missing information
  • Accurately entering prescription requests into the system for processing, maintaining data integrity and accuracy
  • Handling inbound provider calls (approximately 20 per day) regarding prescription approvals and coverage, providing exceptional customer service and support
  • Ensuring data accuracy by following structured workflows and company procedures, maintaining high standards of quality and compliance
  • Communicating professionally with healthcare professionals, building strong relationships and trust
  • Attending fully paid on-site training for the first month, followed by a remote-hybrid schedule with monthly in-office team-building days

Must-Have Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 6+ months of customer service experience, preferably in a call center setting, but other customer-facing roles considered
  • Strong verbal communication skills to interact professionally with healthcare providers, building trust and rapport
  • Excellent attention to detail for verifying prescription and patient information, ensuring accuracy and compliance

Preferred Skills:

While not required, the following skills will be beneficial in this role:

  • Experience handling high-volume calls in a customer service or call center setting, managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Familiarity with medical or pharmacy terminology, enhancing your understanding of prescription coverage and healthcare regulations
  • Basic proficiency with database entry and electronic records systems, streamlining data processing and accuracy
