Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Associate to join our team at arenaflex in Plattsburgh, NY. As a Customer Service Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. Key Responsibilities
* Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
- Register sales on assigned cash register, provide customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service
- Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services
- Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience
- Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
- Provide customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service
- Recommend items for sale to customers and recommend trade-up and/or companion items
- Register customer purchases on assigned cash register, collect cash and distribute change as requested; process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed
- Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records
- Check in and price merchandise as required or as directed by store manager or communicated by the shift leader
- Implement Company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss
- Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco products)
- Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise
- Complete resets and revisions as directed
- Assist with separation of food items (e.g., raw foods from pre-cooked) and product placement as specified by policies/procedures (e.g., raw and frozen meats on bottom shelves)
- Assist in stock rotation, using the first in, first out method and restock outs
- Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print and creative machine, suggestive sell of promotional photo products
- Assume web pick-up responsibilities (monitors orders in Picture Care Plus, fills orders (pick items), delivers orders to customers as they arrive at store)
- Assist with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance
- Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers
- Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned
Training & Personal Development
* Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager or assigned by corporate
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance customer service skills and product knowledge
Essential Qualifications
* Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)
- Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous retail experience preferred
- Prior experience with arenaflex is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
* Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred
- Prior work experience with arenaflex preferred

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time
- Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
