Experienced Ocean Product Development Specialist – Remote Opportunity up to $25/Hour at arenaflex

Job Summary:

As an Ocean Product Development Specialist, you'll play a critical role in supporting the growth of ocean volumes and enhancing the development of our ocean product. You'll work closely with our MD of Ocean to develop and implement strategies that increase volumes, maximize competitiveness, and enhance service quality. This is a remote opportunity that offers a competitive hourly rate of up to $25/hour, making it an attractive option for those seeking a flexible and rewarding career.

Key Responsibilities:

* Execute strategies that support the growth of ocean volumes and enhance the development of our ocean product

• Work closely with the MD of Ocean to develop and implement pricing programs, review volume targets, and analyze carrier service, routings, and performance
• Support sales and operations as an ocean subject matter expert, providing guidance and expertise to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
• Communicate both internally and externally to outline strategy, market conditions, and direction, working closely with the global trade lane team, sales, and operations
• Conduct regular service reviews to ensure agreed-upon KPIs are being met or exceeded
• Assist in gathering, analyzing, and reporting information regarding performance and competitive activity, submitting reports as required
• Work with the MD of Ocean and the regional ocean management team to promote the ocean product and support sales and operations as needed
• Manage annual budget, controlling, monitoring, and reporting results on a regular basis to achieve budget targets
• Collaborate with marketing to develop external and internal communications specific to the ocean product

Essential Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent

• At least 8 years of experience in the international freight forwarding industry, including direct ocean experience in working with ocean contracts, negotiating ocean rates, quoting ocean rates, and analyzing ocean rates and routing
• Prior ocean carrier experience is a plus
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office apps
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Business-oriented and remarkable business acumen
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
