Job Summary

As a Customer Service/Sales Representative, you'll be responsible for providing fast, friendly service to our customers by actively seeking out their needs and providing assistance. You'll learn about our products and services using our tools and provide information to customers to sell an entire project. You'll work in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department as well as other departments to ensure that our customers receive the best possible experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide fast, friendly service to customers by actively seeking out their needs and providing assistance - Learn about products and services using our tools and provide information to customers to sell an entire project - Greet, qualify, recommend, and close every customer in your department - Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe - Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies & standards, completing specified safety training, immediately correcting hazards & unsafe conditions or reporting conditions to the Manager on Duty - Work in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department as well as other departments - Participate in sales promotions, events, and activities to drive sales growth and customer engagement - Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of our products and services to provide expert advice to customers - Build strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and preferences - Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity to stay ahead of the competition

Essential Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred - 1-2 years of experience in customer service, sales, or a related field - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills - Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods - Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in a retail or sales environment - Knowledge of home improvement products and services - Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software - Certification in customer service or sales - Bilingual or multilingual skills
