Job Summary
As a Customer Service and Sales Representative at arenaflex, you will be responsible for providing fast, friendly service to our customers, assessing their needs, and providing assistance to sell an entire project. You will learn about our products and services using our tools and provide information to customers to help them make informed purchasing decisions. You will also be responsible for maintaining the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe. Additionally, you will be responsible for providing a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies and standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide fast, friendly service to customers, assessing their needs and providing assistance to sell an entire project
- Learn about products and services using our tools and provide information to customers to help them make informed purchasing decisions
- Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe
- Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies and standards
- Work in cooperation with Department Supervisors and other associates in their department as well as other departments
- Participate in sales and customer service initiatives to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction
- Develop and maintain knowledge of products and services to provide expert advice to customers
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless customer service and sales experiences
Essential Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
- Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
* 2+ years of customer service or sales experience
- Experience working in a retail or sales environment
- Knowledge of building materials, décor, electrical, flooring, garden, hardware, kitchen and bath, lumber, millwork, paint, plumbing, and tool rental products and services
- Experience with sales and customer service software and systems
- Bilingual or multilingual skills
