Job Summary
As a Customer Service/Sales Representative at arenaflex, you will be responsible for providing fast, friendly service to customers, assessing their needs, and providing assistance to sell an entire project. You will learn about our products, tools, and services, and use this knowledge to recommend and close sales. You will also maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensure a clean, shop-able, and safe environment, and follow all safety policies and standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide fast, friendly service to customers, assessing their needs and providing assistance to sell an entire project
- Learn about products, tools, and services, and use this knowledge to recommend and close sales
- Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring a clean, shop-able, and safe environment
- Follow all safety policies and standards, completing specified safety training, immediately correcting hazards and unsafe conditions, or reporting conditions to the Manager on Duty
- Work in cooperation with Department Supervisors and other associates in their department, as well as other departments
- Participate in sales promotions, events, and activities to drive sales growth and customer engagement
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and preferences
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, industry trends, and competitor activity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals
Essential Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience in a retail or construction-related industry
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities and tasks
- Strong product knowledge and sales skills, with a passion for learning and staying up-to-date on industry trends
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a warehouse or retail environment
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if applicable)
Preferred Qualifications
* 2+ years of customer service or sales experience in a retail or construction-related industry
- Experience with sales software, CRM systems, and other technology platforms
- Knowledge of construction, home improvement, or retail industry trends and products
- Certification in sales, customer service, or a related field (e.g., Certified Sales Professional, Certified Customer Service Representative)
- Bilingual or multilingual skills (English and Spanish, for example)
