Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Billing Specialist to join our team and support the accurate and timely submission of Medicare claims for nursing home residents. As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring proper reimbursement through meticulous data entry and billing processes. Responsibilities
As a Billing Specialist at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:
- Completing and submitting UB-04 claim forms accurately and in compliance with Medicare guidelines
- Utilizing DDE systems to enter and manage claims directly with Medicare
- Using Inovalon software for claims tracking, data verification, and performance optimization
- Reviewing resident data and supporting documentation to ensure completeness and billing accuracy
- Following up on claim rejections, denials, and adjustments; correcting and resubmitting as necessary
- Coordinating with nursing home staff and billing departments to resolve discrepancies
- Maintaining organized records of all billing activities and documentation
- Staying up-to-date with Medicare regulations and billing changes relevant to skilled nursing facilities
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Proven experience in data entry or billing within a healthcare setting, preferably long-term care or nursing homes
- Familiarity with Medicare billing, especially using UB-04 forms
- Experience with DDE systems and Inovalon software is required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle confidential patient information with discretion
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in medical billing is a plus
