Job Summary
As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be the first point of contact for our patients and customers, providing exceptional support and guidance to help them navigate our healthcare services. You'll work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, using your excellent communication and problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues and provide a positive experience for our customers.
Responsibilities
* Answer 30-50 incoming phone calls per day, per team from customers and identify the type of assistance the customer needs as well as making outbound calls to customers regarding medical referrals
- Ask appropriate questions and listen actively to identify specific questions or issues while documenting required information in computer systems
- Assist customers with obtaining prescribed medical equipment and supplies
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefit coverage. Obtain insurance authorization
- Research complex issues across multiple databases and work with support resources to resolve customer issues and/or partner with others to resolve escalated issues
Requirements
* High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- 1 year of experience working in customer service in a call center environment
- Experience with computers and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications
- Ability to work an 8-hour shift schedule during our normal business hours of (8:00am - 5:00pm PST). It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime
Preferred Qualifications
* Healthcare/insurance experience
Telecommuting Requirements
* Reside within Pacific Time Zone, Mountain Time Zone, or Central Time Zone
- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
Soft Skills
* Demonstrated ability to listen skillfully, collect relevant information, build rapport and respond to customers in a compassionate manner
- Proficient conflict management skills to resolve issues in a stressful situation
- All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to arenaflex's Telecommuter Policy
Compensation and Benefits
The hourly range for this role is $16.00 to $28.85 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. arenaflex complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
