Key Responsibilities:
As a Retail Customer Service Cashier, you'll be responsible for:
- Providing exceptional customer service, ensuring that every customer interaction is positive and memorable
- Accurately and efficiently processing transactions, handling cash, credit card payments, and other forms of payment
- Maintaining a clean and organized store environment, including the cash wrap area and surrounding areas
- Collaborating with colleagues to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service
- Participating in visual merchandising and inventory management activities
- Maintaining a high level of product knowledge and staying up-to-date on promotions and sales
- Operating a cash register, POS system, and other equipment as needed
- Maintaining accurate records and reports, including sales data and customer information
Essential Qualifications:
* Basic computer and math knowledge
- Ability to count money accurately and efficiently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods, as well as lift up to 20 pounds occasionally
- Visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, and viewing a terminal
Preferred Qualifications:
* Previous retail experience, preferably in a customer-facing role
- Basic knowledge of cash handling procedures and policies
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or vocational training preferred
