Job Summary
arenaflex is seeking an experienced Manager State & Higher Education to join its Southwest Business Department. As a key member of the team, this Manager will be responsible for investing in the future of arenaflex's People as they execute strategic direction of the State, Local, and Higher Education (SLED) managed travel accounts. This role offers a unique opportunity to work from home, with the possibility of travel for training, meetings, and conferences.
About the Role
The Manager State & Higher Education will play a critical role in helping arenaflex achieve its Business Vision of being the preferred airline for business travel and carrying the most Business Customers. This Leader will be responsible for increasing sales, establishing formal partnerships, and broadening awareness of arenaflex's corporate travel programs and services to State, Local, and Higher Education managed travel accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Coach and help to professionally develop the Field Government Account Managers and designated portfolio management.
- Identify Candidates, hire, onboard, and train a sales organization of trusted Advisors in the managed travel industry.
- Establish formal partnerships and increase sales with State, Local, and Higher Education managed travel accounts.
- Broaden awareness of arenaflex's corporate travel programs and services to State, Local, and Higher Education managed travel accounts.
- Work closely with the Southwest Business Department to achieve arenaflex's Business Vision.
- Travel for training, meetings, and conferences as required.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in sales, account management, or a related field.
- Proven track record of success in increasing sales and establishing formal partnerships.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to develop and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on results and customer satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:
- MBA or other advanced degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Experience in the managed travel industry, with a strong understanding of State, Local, and Higher Education managed travel accounts.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on innovation and growth.
- Experience with arenaflex's products and services, or a strong understanding of the airline industry.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
arenaflex offers a competitive compensation package, including:
- A salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
