Responsibilities of the Customer Service Store Clerk

As a Customer Service Store Clerk at arenaflex, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the efficiency of store operations and ensuring the quality of customer interactions. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing Exceptional Customer Service: Extend a warm welcome to patrons, respond to their inquiries, and provide guidance on products and services. Ensure that every customer interaction is positive, friendly, and helpful.
  • Handling Cash Register Responsibilities: Efficiently process transactions, manage cash, and maintain accurate records. Ensure that all sales are processed correctly, and customers receive their receipts and change promptly.
  • Maintaining a Clean and Organized Store Environment: Ensure that the sales floor is clean, tidy, and well-organized. Manage donations as they arrive, issue receipts to donors and customers, and maintain a safe and welcoming store environment.
  • Supporting Patrons and Team Members: Assist customers with their shopping experience, provide guidance on products and services, and support team members with their tasks and responsibilities.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for this role.
  • Customer Service Experience: Previous customer service experience, either in a retail or non-retail environment, is highly desirable.
  • Basic Math Skills: Basic math skills, including handling cash and processing transactions, are required.
  • Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and prioritizing tasks, is essential for this role.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications would be beneficial for this role:

  • Retail Experience: Previous retail experience, including working in a store environment, is highly desirable.
  • Inventory Management: Experience with inventory management, including receiving and processing donations, is an asset.
