Experienced Customer Service Support Representative – Specialty Testing – Work from Home Opportunity

Job Summary
As a Customer Service Support Representative, you'll be responsible for providing top-notch customer service to patients and clients, while navigating complex insurance and billing systems. You'll work in a fast-paced environment, averaging 75 calls per day, and will be required to research and communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner. Key Responsibilities
* Provide assistance to prospective clients and patients regarding insurance coverage, financial responsibilities, and billing inquiries
- Receive and process credit card payments over the phone, adhering to PCI compliance protocols
- Initiate payment plans for patients for outstanding balances
- Document telephone conversations clearly and accurately in the respective systems
- Update and maintain records in the billing system, including the review of accounts, payment collections, and case notes
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines and regulations
- Assist with other duties as assigned
License/Certification/Education
* High school diploma required
- Associate degree or higher is a plus
- 1-3 years of applicable experience
Competencies
* Healthcare experience needed
- Knowledge of professional medical billing and collection practices preferred
- Ability to interpret and apply understanding of insurance explanation of benefits (EOB)
- Working knowledge of prior authorization, a plus
- Experience with Laboratory Billing and Laboratory Information System (LIS) desired
- XIFIN experience preferred
- Medicare/Medicaid billing experience preferred
- Knowledge of CPT and ICD10 codes highly preferred
- Previous customer service experience handling high call volume preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to follow established program protocols and procedures
- Computer proficiency - MS Windows, MS Office, and database experience
- Must be organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to review large amounts of data for accuracy
- Understanding of Women's Health & Genetics Moms Helping Moms of Tomorrow processes, a plus
- Bilingual in English and Spanish highly desirable
Physical Requirements
* Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Remote Technical Requirements
* Internet speed of at least 50 megabytes per second
- No satellite internet
- Ability to connect equipment to router/modem with Ethernet cord
- Equipment cannot be connected through Wi-Fi
Schedule
* Monday-Friday
- 7:30am - 4:00pm PST / 8:30am-5:00pm MDT / 9:30-6:00pm CDT / 10:30am - 7:00pm EDT
Pay Range
* $15.50-$19.00 or State/Local minimum wage, if higher
