Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative – Health Insurance Billing Resolution Specialist, you'll be responsible for:

  • Reviewing Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Resolving patient medical billing inquiries, addressing concerns, and providing clear explanations
  • Collecting payments and processing transactions in a timely and efficient manner
  • Assisting patients with inquiries regarding their medically billed charges
  • Collaborating with internal teams to resolve complex issues and improve processes
  • Maintaining accurate records, reports, and time tracking to meet quality and productivity quotas
  • Participating in online team meetings, company Q&A forums, and mandatory on-boarding training
  • Adhering to arenaflex's high standards of professionalism, courtesy, and respect in all interactions

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service, medical billing, or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing EOBs, processing transactions, and maintaining records
  • Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills, with the ability to interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and internal teams
  • Previous experience working with electronic medical systems, including EHRs and billing software
  • Ability to navigate multiple systems, software programs, and desktop environments simultaneously
  • Friendly, approachable demeanor, with a strong focus on patient satisfaction and empathy
  • High-speed internet access, with a reliable and secure connection (speed test required)
  • A Windows-based personal computer, capable of running multiple systems and software programs (no Chromebooks)
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, in a remote environment
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday, during Hawaii Standard Time

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be beneficial:

  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, with knowledge of medical terminology and billing procedures
  • Familiarity with arenaflex's systems, software, and processes
  • Certification in medical billing, customer service, or a related field
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate with patients and healthcare professionals in multiple languages
