As a key member of our customer-facing team, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences, registering sales, and providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to our customers. As a Customer Service Associate at arenaflex, you'll have the opportunity to:- Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services, resolving customer issues and answering questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and arenaflex service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
- Provide customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service, recommending items for sale and suggesting trade-up and/or companion items.
- Register customer purchases on assigned cash register, collect cash and distribute change as requested, process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed.
- Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records, checking in and pricing merchandise as required or as directed by store manager or communicated by the shift leader.
- Implement Company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss, ensuring compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco products).
- Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise, completing resets and revisions as directed.
- Assist with separation of food items (e.g., raw foods from pre-cooked) and product placement as specified by policies/procedures (e.g., raw and frozen meats on bottom shelves), using the first in, first out method and restock outs.
- Have working knowledge of store systems and store equipment, providing customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print and creative machine, suggestive sell of promotional photo products.
- Assume web pick-up responsibilities (monitors orders in Picture Care Plus, fills orders (pick items), delivers orders to customers as they arrive at store).
- Assist with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance, complying with all company policies and procedures, and maintaining respectful relationships with coworkers.
- Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and team members.
- A strong customer service focus, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Basic math skills, with the ability to accurately handle cash and operate a cash register.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications would be an asset:- Previous customer service experience, preferably in a retail environment.
- Basic knowledge of store systems and store equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
- Availability to work overtime during peak periods.
