Key Responsibilities

As an Experienced Pharmacy Customer Service Associate, you'll be responsible for:

  • Delivering Exceptional Patient Care: Engage with customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Providing Outstanding Customer Service: Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience. This includes interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and arenaflex service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
  • Operating with Efficiency and Effectiveness: Register customer purchases on assigned cash register, collect cash and distribute change as requested; process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed. Take customers to the OTC aisle when possible to assist in locating products.
  • Maintaining a Clean and Organized Store Environment: Keep counters and shelves clean and well-merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records. Check in and price merchandise as required or as directed by the store manager or communicated by the shift leader.
  • Supporting Pharmacy Operations: Perform duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, including utilizing pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, ensuring information is entered correctly, filling prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying medicine is correct, and checking for possible interactions. Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining workflow.
  • Ensuring Compliance and Quality: Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty immediately and adhere to arenaflex policies and procedures in relation to pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program. Review and comply with the arenaflex Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
  • Handling Customer Inquiries and Claims: Handle telephone calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians. Process (correct and resubmit) manual claims for third-party program prescription services in a timely and efficient manner, and perform other clerical duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.
  • Supporting Inventory Management: Assist and support the Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities, such as ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments of pharmaceuticals. Maintain knowledge of arenaflex asset protection techniques and file claims for warehouse overages, shortages, order errors, or damaged goods involving Rx drugs.
  • Ensuring Compliance with Regulations: Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco products).
  • Maintaining Displays and Product Placement: Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise. Complete resets and revisions as directed.
  • Providing Customer Service in the Photo Area: Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print, and creative machine. Suggestively sell promotional photo products.
  • Assuming Web Pick-up Responsibilities: Monitor orders in Picture Care Plus, fill orders (pick items), and deliver orders to customers as they arrive at the store.
  • Maintaining a Clean and Orderly Store Environment: Ensure clean, neat, and orderly store conditions and appearance. Comply with all arenaflex policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; pharmacy technician certification (PTCB) or state required certification/registration preferred

  • 1-2 years of experience in a pharmacy or retail environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Preferred Qualifications

* 2+ years of experience in a pharmacy or retail environment

  • PTCB certification or state required certification/registration
  • Experience with pharmacy systems and software
  • Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods
