Responsibilities and Duties

As an IT Chat Specialist, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service through live chat interactions with customers. Your primary goal will be to provide accurate and helpful information about our products and services, while also showcasing your passion and enthusiasm for the brand. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Sharing your passion for the brand: You'll be expected to demonstrate a genuine love for our brand and its products, and to share that passion with customers through your interactions.
  • Using the brand's products and services: You'll need to be familiar with our products and services, and to be able to answer customer questions and provide recommendations.
  • Comparing and analyzing competitor products: You'll need to stay up-to-date on competitor products and services, and to be able to compare and contrast them with our own offerings.
  • Showing empathy to customers in stressful situations: You'll need to be able to provide emotional support and empathy to customers who are experiencing technical difficulties or other issues.
  • Typing at least 35 wpm and communicating clearly in text form: You'll need to be able to type quickly and accurately, and to communicate complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.

Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess a combination of technical expertise, communication skills, and passion for helping others. Some of the key skills and qualifications we're looking for include:

  • 5+ years IT industry experience: While not required, experience in the IT industry is highly beneficial for this role.
  • Knowledge of large corporate or hospital IT systems: Familiarity with large-scale IT systems is a plus, but not required.
  • Familiarity with top OS and brand environments: You'll need to be familiar with a range of operating systems and brand environments, including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
  • Passion for helping others with large-scale electronic purchasing needs: You'll need to be passionate about helping customers navigate complex technical issues and make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Ability to explain concepts at customer's knowledge level: You'll need to be able to communicate complex technical information in a clear and concise manner, taking into account the customer's level of technical expertise.
  • Ability to type at least 35 wpm: You'll need to be able to type quickly and accurately, with a strong ability to communicate clearly in text form.

  • Chat interactions paid out weekly: You'll be paid on an hourly basis for your chat interactions, with rates ranging from $18 to $22 per hour based on your experience and skill set.
  • Immediate start upon completion of onboarding: You'll be able to start working with us as soon as you complete our onboarding process.
  • Remote position from anywhere you can connect to the internet: You'll have the flexibility to work from anywhere, as long as you have a stable internet connection.

Technology Details

To ensure that you're able to perform your duties effectively, you'll need to have access to a range of technology tools and resources. Some of the key technology requirements for this role include:

  • A desktop or laptop with Chrome browser: You'll need to have a desktop or laptop with a Chrome browser installed, as this is our primary platform for chat interactions.
  • Stable internet connection: You'll need to have a stable internet connection with a minimum speed of 10mbps.
  • Reliable sound output: You'll need to have reliable sound output, either through built-in computer speakers or third-party speakers or headsets.
