As a Customer Service and Sales Representative at arenaflex, you will be the face of our company, providing fast, friendly service to customers while actively seeking out opportunities to upsell and cross-sell our products. You will learn about our extensive range of products and services, from building materials to décor, electrical, flooring, garden, hardware, kitchen & bath, lumber, millwork, paint, plumbing, and tool rental. With a focus on providing a safe and welcoming shopping environment, you will work closely with your Department Supervisor and other associates to ensure that our stores are always clean, shop-able, and safe.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide exceptional customer service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance

  • Learn about products using our tools and provide information to customers to sell an entire project
  • Greet, qualify, recommend, and close every customer in your department
  • Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe
  • Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies & standards, completing specified safety training, and reporting hazards or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty
  • Work in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department as well as other departments
  • Participate in sales and customer service initiatives to drive growth and excellence across the organization

Essential Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred

  • 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience in a retail or related environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management
  • Strong product knowledge and ability to learn about new products and services
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time

Preferred Qualifications:

* 2+ years of customer service or sales experience in a retail or related environment

  • Experience working in a sales or customer service leadership role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze sales data and customer feedback to inform sales strategies
  • Experience with sales software and technology, such as CRM systems and sales analytics tools
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
