Job Summary

As a Customer Service and Sales Professional at arenaflex, you will be responsible for providing fast, friendly service to our customers, assessing their needs, and providing assistance to sell an entire project. You will learn about our products and services using our tools and provide information to customers to help them make informed purchasing decisions. You will work closely with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department as well as other departments to ensure that our customers receive exceptional service and support.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide fast, friendly service to customers by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance

  • Learn about products and services using our tools and provide information to customers to help them make informed purchasing decisions
  • Sell an entire project to customers by recommending and closing sales
  • Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring that they are clean, shop-able, and safe
  • Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies and standards, completing specified safety training, and reporting hazards and unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty
  • Work in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department as well as other departments to ensure that our customers receive exceptional service and support
  • Participate in sales promotions and events to drive sales growth and increase customer engagement
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers to build trust and loyalty
  • Stay up-to-date on product knowledge and industry trends to provide expert advice and guidance to customers

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred

  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service or sales, preferably in a retail or wholesale environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management
  • Strong product knowledge and sales skills, with the ability to learn and adapt quickly
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of accountability and responsibility

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in a sales or customer service role in a retail or wholesale environment

  • Knowledge of building materials, décor, electrical, flooring, garden, hardware, kitchen and bath, lumber, millwork, paint, plumbing, and tool rental products and services
  • Experience with sales software and technology, such as CRM systems and sales analytics tools
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to mentor and develop junior team members
  • Experience with sales promotions and events, with the ability to drive sales growth and increase customer engagement
