Job Overview

As a Billing Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring timely resolution of benefits questions, maintaining accurate data entry, and providing essential reporting to help achieve arenaflex's revenue goals. This is a full-time remote opportunity, and you will work closely with our Director of Support Services to ensure seamless execution of our business operations.

Key Responsibilities

* Encounter Management: + Complete all necessary encounters for various practices, ensuring accurate data entry in the appropriate Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. + Verify patient information, diagnoses, and treatment plans to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Optometrist Referral Processing:

+ Manage the referral process for optometrists by entering referrals from the EHR into Salesforce. + Perform benefits verification prior to sending information to the Enrollment Manager.

• Out-of-Pocket (OOP) Cost Ticket Requests:

+ Address tickets related to OOP costs as generated by the Customer Care (CC) team. + Collaborate with the CC team to resolve OOP-related issues and ensure timely resolution.

• Eligibility Queries:

+ Respond to eligibility-related questions from the Enrollment Team as needed, utilizing EHR data. + Provide accurate and timely responses to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements

* High School Diploma or GED.

• Minimum of 1 year of administrative, data entry, or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Suite, with experience in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Typing speed of 30-40 words per minute.
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR), preferably NexTech or Athena.
• Experience with clinical data entry. (Preferred)
• Familiarity with Salesforce. (Preferred)
• Knowledge of full cycle billing or coding processes. (Preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in a healthcare or medical billing environment.

• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and compliance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Work Environment

arenaflex is a remote-first company, and this role will be performed entirely remotely. You will need a dedicated remote workspace with a cable or fiber optic internet connection offering a minimum of 50 Mbps of download speed and 10 Mbps of upload speed. Your workspace should be private and offer a low noise level conducive to managing frequent professional conversations and virtual meetings. It is also critical that your workspace be HIPAA compliant.
