[Hiring] Biological Safety Laboratory Project Manager @Parsons Corporation
Role Description Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Manager to join our team! In this role you will provide overall leadership and guidance for a complex international Biological Threat Reduction Project (BTRP) in a challenging and dynamic environment. The Project Manager is responsible for:
- Providing direction and management for a design and construction project for a new Pathogen Consolidation Unit associated with a Biological Safety Laboratory project.
- Ensuring on-schedule completion within or below budget in accordance with contractual obligations.
- Scope development, scope management, and commercial performance of the project to meet project goals and objectives.
- Planning and defining program goals and devising methods to accomplish them.
- Developing in-depth knowledge of client objectives, contract terms, and corporate policies.
- Managing a complex international Biological Threat Reduction design and construction Project in Rabat, Morocco.
- Planning and executing training courses.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, biosciences, construction management, or business administration.
- 15 years of experience managing projects including 7 years of international projects of similar size and scope.
- Project Management Certification (such as through the Project Management Institute (PMI)).
- Experience managing Integrated Master Schedules, Earned Value Management, Work Breakdown Structures, and facility design/construction or training.
- Experience with BTRP type projects designing and constructing laboratories.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work with field personnel in a tactful and effective manner.
- Computer proficiency with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage distributed teams located in foreign countries.
