Sports Travel Coordinator Full time, United States This shift will be 9 a.m.to 9 p.m. ET. and may require some weekend hours We are seeking an experienced Sports Travel Coordinator to join a fabulous travel company, hybrid working model. This exciting Sports Travel Coordinator role is ideal for a group travel professional from a travel background with a huge interest in sports. You will be responsible for accurately and efficiently handling incoming requests via multiple channels. For this role, you will be the primary point of contact for the customer and will provide active travel consultation towards the customers, including providing travel details and up-selling of related products. As a Sports Travel Coordinator, you will
- Be the main point of contact for the groups within your remit and will be responsible for answering any client queries
- Make the travel arrangements for groups including flight, hotel, ground, fixture, and excursion bookings
- Offer excellent customer service skills, developing good customer relations
- Appropriately respond and resolve customers inquiries
- Project manage a variety of playing tours travelling worldwide
- Seek opportunities to review operational processes and the commercial relationship with customers and provide suggestions for improvement
About You
- Travel industry experience is essential with a strong interest in sport
- Experience working with travel suppliers such as hoteliers, coach companies, and excursion providers
- Prior experience with GDS Sabre
- Attention to detail and a methodical, thorough approach to your work is essential
- Strong communication skills both over the phone and in writing
- Good understanding of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Team player and able to help on a variety of other projects where needed across the business
