Job Summary

As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our clients via telephone. You will be the first point of contact for customers who are seeking assistance with their travel plans, and you will be responsible for resolving their issues in a timely and professional manner. You will also be responsible for processing refunds, confirming travel itineraries, and making outbound calls to travel partners as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

* Answer incoming calls from customers and respond to their inquiries in a timely and professional manner

  • Review customer history as necessary to provide personalized support and guidance
  • Follow policy and procedure guidelines to ensure that customer issues are resolved efficiently and effectively
  • Help customers change travel plans, confirm or obtain their itinerary, request refunds, or report travel issues
  • Process refunds and resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Place outbound calls to travel partners (hotels, rental car agencies, etc.) as necessary to resolve customer issues
  • Document information and outcomes as necessary to ensure that customer issues are resolved efficiently and effectively

About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and customer-focused individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional service. To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Prior customer service experience is required
  • Strong geographical knowledge is essential
  • Experience working in the travel industry or personal experience using travel products is preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills, including strong communication and listening skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work proactively and anticipate situations to ensure that customer issues are resolved efficiently and effectively
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box
  • Demonstrated empathy and ability to work effectively with customers who may be experiencing travel-related issues
  • Self-directed and able to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Strong typing skills and proficiency in using the internet and navigating multiple applications
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

Technical Requirements

To be a successful Customer Service Representative, you will need a computer and equipment meeting the following specifications, at a minimum:

  • Internet: High-speed, hardwired internet (no Wi-Fi or satellite)
  • Operating System: Windows 10
  • Processor: Intel Core i5, 1.5 GHz and above
  • Memory: 8GB of RAM
  • Hard Drive: 256GB
  • Browser: Internet Explorer 11 and latest version of Google Chrome
  • Monitor: Dual monitors, each capable of displaying at least 1920 x 1080 pixels
  • Sound: Sound card (standard on most computers)
  • Virus Protection: Up-to-date anti-virus software
  • Headset: USB noise-canceling headset

Work Environment and Flexibility

As a Customer Service Representative, you will have the flexibility to work from home and set your own schedule within our hours of operation (8:00 AM to 1:00 AM ET, seven days per week). You will use a self-scheduling platform to select when you work and when you don't, allowing you to schedule around your own needs, the needs of your family, and the important events in your life.
