Experienced Part-Time Accounting Data Entry Clerk – Financial Record Management and Compliance Specialist

As a key member of our financial team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. This role is essential for providing timely financial information to support our local Non-Profit organization.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Data Entry Clerk to work remotely, with the ability to meet on-site occasionally. As a key member of our financial team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. This role is essential for providing timely financial information to support our local Non-Profit organization.

Key Responsibilities

* Payroll processing and ensure timely payments for one employee

  • Maintain accurate accounting records using QuickBooks online
  • Perform general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial reporting
  • Conduct account reconciliation to verify the accuracy of financial data
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations on a regular basis
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, cash flow statements
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in tax preparation as needed
  • Collaborate with public accounting firms during audits or reviews
  • Work directly, reporting to the Treasurer

Essential Qualifications

* Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role within accounting

  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes and tax regulations
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks online
  • Experience with general ledger reconciliation and accounts receivable management
  • Ability to prepare detailed financial reports and documentation
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies in financial data

Preferred Qualifications

* Degree in Accounting or related field (preferred but not required)

  • Experience working with a non-profit organization (preferred but not required)

* Strong technical skills, including proficiency in QuickBooks online

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information

Compensation and Benefits

* Monthly stipend of $300.00

  • Hours are minimal 10-15 hours a month
  • No benefits, 1099 or monthly billing
  • Compensation will be adjusted if additional hours are required
  • Initially, there may be additional hours required
