Research Attorney
Job Description:
- Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis on a variety of case-related matters
- Draft, review, and revise critical legal documents, including demand letters, pleadings, and court briefs
- Provide real-time litigation support to the lead attorney during court appearances, pivoting quickly to address emerging needs
- Participate in daily morning stand-up meetings to align on priorities and case developments
- Provide critical research and litigation support in a fast-paced environment of active court proceedings
- Work closely with experienced attorneys on impactful cases
Requirements:
- A law degree (J.D. or equivalent) or extensive experience as a high-level paralegal
- Demonstrable experience in legal research, writing, and drafting within the US legal system
- Proven background in providing co-counsel support and litigation assistance
- Familiarity with US court procedures and legal documentation standards
- Exceptional legal research and writing capabilities
- Ability to manage deadlines effectively in a high-pressure environment
- Flexible and adaptable mindset, capable of shifting priorities seamlessly
- Interest in developing a trauma-informed approach (training will be provided)
- Resilience and capacity to handle dramatic or high-stakes situations
