Key Responsibilities
As a Data Center Customer Operations Engineer Intern at arenaflex, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects and tasks, including:
- Installations: You'll be responsible for installing and testing customer equipment, including server, network, and cross-connect cable installations. This will involve racking and stacking customer equipment, installing intra-cage fiber tray, ladder rack, customer equipment, and cabinets, as well as infrastructure installs such as whalebone cable management, public fiber tray systems, carrier ladder rack, AC/DC power trays, security trays, and cash mesh.
- Testing/Troubleshooting: You'll support semi-routine standard operating testing and standard operating installations of customer assets, as well as standard operating procedures of layer 1 cross-connect certification testing.
- Customer Management: You'll support customer satisfaction with timely adherence to semi-routine execution order requirements, deliver a high level of service and an excellent customer experience when interfacing with customers, and provide support with time expectations on new deployments and existing alterations, following standard operating procedure guidelines.
- Training: You'll complete all assigned training on Documentation/Reporting in a timely manner.
Essential Qualifications
* Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in a relevant field (e.g. computer science, engineering, information technology)
- Strong understanding of data center operations and customer service principles
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
